Still developing, this country is still naive and "unspoiled", or at least it was when we visited. Burma has been tipped back into the military junta's hands, forcibly sent back to the dark ages of arrests, executions and refugees. The country had so much promise, and the people of Myanmar so much to celebrate as tourists such as us came to this ancient culture. The Irrawaddy River is the heart of the country, and we were able to see the country as we floated upstream from Yangon to Bagan. The early images are from Inle Lake.
